Jigarthanda Movie Review

Director Karthik Subbaraj after Pizza is out with Jigarthanda.Starring SIddharth and Lakshmi Menon in the lead role, the movie has Bobby Simha playing the baddie in the movie that has music by Santosh Narayanan. It is a musical gangster film.

Siddharth has a chocolate boy image in Tamil cinema. But he has pulled it off well in the film playing an angry youngster. The movie was shot entirely in Madurai.

The film has commercial elements put together to make it racy and interesting by Karthik. Besides Siddharth, the film has Lakshmi Menon, Bobby Simha, Karuna, Prathap Pothen among others.

Music is by Santosh Narayanan. Karthi Subramaniam (Siddharth), plans to do a movie on a gangster who lives in Madurai.

So he along with his accomplice Orrani (Karunakaran) sets out on a case study on a dreaded don Sethu (Bobby Simha), who controls the town. Siddharth does a wonderful job.

Engaging from the very word go, the film has everything to keep audience engaged. Santosh Narayanan’s music elevates the mood.
Kathik Subbaraj promises a lot and lives up to all hypes.

A well made film that is a must watch.

Verdict: Siddharth sparkles
