Gubeer Movie Review

Gubeer is a entertainer that speaks about a group of friends having fun on one night over a drink, There begins the story and there it ends. It is about various issues being discussed over a drink by friends.

The film features Thilip, Ravi, White, Tamil, Pratap and Prabhu. The story, screenplay, dialogue and direction are by Thilip. Santhosh Sriram has handled the camera. Karthikeyan has penned the lyrics.

The idea looks novel but could have been executed in a better way.

These friends discuss about everything under the sun during the drink. Minute details about yesteryear politics, working style in MNCs, travails of veteran actor M R Radha, Hollywood craze among youngsters and about Ajith and Vijay.

It has just four characters. Thilp besides direction plays central character. Though there are no fights, romance or sombre scenes, the film manages to keep attention all through. The rest of the characters including Ravi, White, Tamil and Prabhu do well.

But the length is a problem and Gubeer proceeds at a leisurely pace.
