Kootam – Movie Review

Kootam is an an action thriller with a strong message against violence.

Naveen Chandra and Kishore’s performances are big plus in the film. James Vasanthan’s background score add pep to the proceedings. Naveen Chandra and Kishore have played naxals and the story revolve around two individuals who reform in their lives. But forced to do some other job that affects their purpose.

Nasser and Piaa Bajpai have given good performance. Sai Kumar and Abhimanyu Singh are also in the cast.

Jeevan, the protege of Ram Gopal Varma, has penned story, screenplay and dialogues for Kootam. He has chosen a unique story, which is set in the backdrop of naxal fight.

The movie has some realistic setting. But a deja vu feel and the feeling of watching a Telugu movie prevails all through.

The lead characters performance is brisk.But after a good start in the first half, the movie lacks pace and proceeds in beaten path.

Verdict : Action aplenty
