Director Badri, known for his comedy movies, is back with Adama Jeychomada. A movie on match fixing in T20 cricket. It brings together Bobby Simha and Karuna. Thanks to some catchy one-liners by dialogue writer Mirchi Siva, there are no dull moments.
Vijayalakshmi, Aadukalam Naren, Radharvi, Balaji and Chethan among others form part of the cast while K S Ravikumar plays a prominent role. Music is by Sean Roldon and camera is by Dwarakanath.
Karuna is a call taxi driver. Balaji, a bookie, travels in his car a day before an international T20 match in Chennai. He is on a mission to influence a bowler and leak runs in a particular over.
Coming to know Karuna’s miserable plight, he promises to help him financially.
They become friends. Karuna is married to Vijayalakshmi, who runs a roadside eatery. Sadly Balaji gets murdered in a hotel and blame falls on Karuna. Simha, the local inspector, arrests him. Enters Aadukalam Naren, a producer who rescues Karuna. He is crazy for money. Now with the help of Karuna, he wants to know the secrets about the spot fixing and make some quick money.
Enters Police Commissioner K S Ravikumar who wants to crack the whip on the betting mafia. What happens in their lives form the rest.
Karuna is the pivot of the film. He does his role well. Vijayalakshmi as his wife is okay. Simha of Jigarthanda has nothing much to do. Balaji and Ravikumar do their part well.
