Anjaan Movie Review

Suriya starrer Anjaan, directed by Lingusamy released big. Samantha plays the female lead. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Produced by UTV and Thiruppathy Brothers, it is a gangster story shot stylishly in Mumbai. Suriya has even sung a song. The movie also stars Vidyut Jamwal in a key role.

The movie is set in Mumbai. It is more stylish but lacks content. The movie is racy but lacks logic. It runs for 170 minutes.

Krishna (Suriya) reaches Mumbai to know about his missing brother Raju (Suriya). He is shcoked to know that his brother was a don in Mumbai and was killed along with his friend Chandru (Vidyut Jamwal) by Imran (Manoj Bajpai). Anger, cheat and deceit were the reason. Now what Krishna does to settle score forms the rest.

Suriya is super in every frame. He is cool and casual. Action is at his best. Samantha oozes with glamour. Manoj Bajpai has very little to do while Vidyut Jamwal is passable.

Yuvan Shankar’s songs may disappoint many, but not his background score. Samantha oozes glamour. Santosh Sivan’s cameras is superb and enjoyable to watch.

Anjaan is a thorough entertainer. Though there are plenty of action, the likes of Soori and Brahmanandham provides comical relief.

Verdict: Strictly for Suriya fans
